The course is known as a stern golfing test, but was made especially difficult with vicious pin positions, severely undulating greens and strong winds.

After day one, Bohn, the winner in 2016, was leading the Open Category with a score of 77. The following day he extended his lead quickly, racing to four under par after 11 holes before finishing with a level par 72 for a total of 149 and a comfortable victory over Richard Land and Michael Charles, who finished second and third.

In the Masters 55 and over category, which is played in stableford format, Martin Lerner was victorious. He led the field with 38 points on day one and his 35 points on the final day clinched victory.

As ever, the camaraderie was superb, making this event a special one in the Jewish golfing calendar.

Next year Woodhall Spa, the home of England golf, will return as the venue.
