Blizzard won't get carried away after Lions win, says Linden

A deadly double from Shai Revivo earned Blizzard Storm their first ever victory in the Premier Division as they claimed a famous win at Rowley Lane.

Revivo struck in the 75th and 85th minutes before Connor Perlmutter set up a grandstand finish with a last-minute penalty but Blizzard held on to claim what manager Simon Linden described as "one the most famous wins for the club".

Jubilant Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "It was a fantastic performance from 1-13 involved.

"It's great to be in the Premier and upsetting the odds, I think Lions deep down thought this morning would be a breeze.

"Just like last week we stood up to the challenge and worked extremely hard to get a result. I'm proud of my boys, we didn't stop and defended like our lives depended on it and took our chances. Shai Revivo was simply outstanding and the difference between the teams.

"New keeper Robbie Krupski made a string of good saves and the experience of Adam Specky, Adam Levene and new signing Ben Gardner gave us the platform to go and get a result.

"It's a big win but let's not get carried away, we have another tough 90 next week and I'll be looking for more of the same."
