Easyjet entrepreneur Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou is expanding his property portfolio and has appointed Devono, the tenant representative specialist run by Robert Leigh, to help him.
Sir Stelios, the founder of newly launched property business easyOffice, is taking advantage of a buoyant rental market and the availability of freeholds to increase its portfolio from four to 30 centres by next September, mainly through buying between 20 and 25 sites in London. EasyOffice rents out flexible and affordable office space — by the room and short or long-term. Mr Leigh said: “Easyoffice is aiming to make it affordable for start-up companies to get on their feet and help people to get working again.” He adds: “Easyoffice is taking advantage of the great rental opportunities that are now available. We want to identify landlords with rental voids [when a property is not being let], pending redevelopments, and any existing tenants that have the tail-end of leases remaining.
EasyOffice operates three London offices and one in Glasgow. It is apparently in talks to open offices in Cheshire and Nottingham.
