It's National Poetry Day today, and that seemed like a good time to celebrate some Jewish poets.

After all there are so many of them, from Yehuda Amichai to George Oppen, Muriel Rukeyser to Osip Mandelshtam. And we're sure you have many of your own.

Here Rachel Creeger, actress and comedian, explains why Joshua Seigal is her favourite Jewish contemporary poet.

I'd like to introduce people to my favourite contemporary Jewish poet, Joshua Seigal. He writes from the heart using playful and creative language that appeals to all ages. Although he's possibly best known as a children's poet he also writes beautiful, clever and comedic poetry for adults. You can find him performing at literary festivals, comedy clubs and as writer-in-residence at schools all over the country.

I've known Joshua since my days working on the Hampstead and Highgate Literary Festival. We've since performed together at events for children and adults. Two of his poems have really touched me and I would love to share them with you.

"How Do I Be A Success Like You?" plays to the imposter syndrome we've all felt.

"Little Miss Fear" was published just after I had been through an absolutely terrifying experience, and really touched me at that difficult time.
