There's a must-read interview with Tony Blair in the Jerusalem Post (which I was alerted to by Melanie Phillips). I'd suggest you read the whole thing, but his comments on Hamas and the increasing cry for Israel to negotiate with them are particularly good. Such as:
The point is that if you want to be part of a negotiation for a state
of Palestine and a state of Israel, one, it’s quite difficult to do
that in circumstances where you’re sitting across the table from people
and saying, ‘We reserve the right to kill your citizens at the same
time as we’re having this talk.’ That in my view doesn’t work as a
negotiation.
