Torture.

You won't believe me but I really wanted to be able to write something different - that we saw a new Brown of some sort. But oh Lord, it was dire. The same drone, the same list of, at best, dubious stats, the same old same old Brown.

I don't think it will make a blind bit of difference to anything, mind you. No one needs to discover anything new about Brown - it's all there, and has been for ages. The man is all hype and no substance, a lack made all the worse for the fact that he claims to be all substance and no hype.

The Tories must be grinning from ear to ear after this week. The longer Labour sticks with Brown, the better it gets for Cameron. And Labour is still limping around tethered to the great ball of hot air which leads it.
