Today friends invited us to join them for lunch in Jaffa at a Christian Arab restaurant in the old part of town. It was wonderful to experience co-existence between Jews, Arabs (Christians and Muslims), in this very interesting town to the south of Tel Aviv. It is an up and coming area, showing many signs of regeneration whilst still maintaining the historic parts of a very historic place.
Very encouraging to see it and what a beautiful day! Earlier many Israelis were to be seen enjoying the unseasonal sunshine and warmth on the beach. Tourism is booming and this has to be good for everyone who lives here.
