Well done to the Zionist Federation, a grand old organisation which I have sometimes maligned. Now that it has a new chairman, Harvey Rose, described by many as a mensch, it is beginning to shake off its right wing shackles and join other organisations in fighting for a more socially just Israel.
In the UK Task Force on Issues Facing Arab Citizens of Israel it has teamed up with British Friends of Neve Shalom ~ Wahat al-Salam and the New Israel Fund UK, as well as a host of other groups (Board of Deputies and the UK Friends of the Abraham Fund Initiatives and UJIA).
Such action can only be praised. So hats off to Harvey and Jonathan.
