The project started just under a year ago and as we move towards our first anniversary I can look back in amazement at what has been achieved!
We started by creating a website, thanks to my husband's help in pulling our ideas together, it turned out pretty well. The next stage was to add inscriptions, this began with those from Brady Street Cemetery.
We soon realised that our passion for genealogy wouldn't allow us to just enter the inscription, we just 'had' to find out more ...
So then we began to put each individual within their family setting, trying to complete the picture and, of course, help fellow genealogy researchers in the process.
The reaction is what has been amazing! we have received numerous emails from people who have 'found' their ancestors on our site. Some who didn't know their ancestors were Jewish, other from accross the world had no idea where their ancestors were buried.
Many have donated photos to the project as well as further information.
When we launched we had 500 inscriptions and photos on the site, we now have over 2,000.
We are grateful to everyone who has contributed and help the project grow.
