ENOUGH! It's time to stand up against Flotilla Armada Inc.

June 23, 2011 20:49

With the Flotilla Armada Inc. now sailing off into the sunset to so-called besieged Gaza, Jew-bashing has become more pronounced, more ignorant, and more defined. Israel and diaspora Jews are blamed for a plethora of events and issues that normally even a dim-whit, nay a lunatic, would see as incongruous. To quote a friend: "The lie repeated enough times can de facto become what people perceive as truth." And to many non-Jews, we are seen as doing nothing about it.

Unfortunately, we continue to live in an age where numerous governments, antisemites, hate-mongers, far left, far right loonies and NGOs of this world, rule the day. To these people I say, "Va te faire cuire un oeuf!" These miscreants, who profess to be utterly convinced that their knowledge of middle east modern history is correct, coupled with their convoluting conspiracy theories, are unshakable in their hatred of Jews.

From where I sit, very little is being done on an individual level to contradict these harebrained maniacs. As Jews, why have we become obsessed as individuals into keeping our mouths shut. Enough! What makes us so insecure? Why do we, as individuals, remain silent and expect Jewish organisations to do all the work on our behalf?

One might ask who in their right mind would want to keep quiet when Hezbollah asserts Israel flooded Egypt with poisoned food and girls with AIDS. Or that Egypt's Governor of southern Sinai lays the blame for shark attacks on Israel's intelligence agency, the Mossad. At the time, Southern Sinai Governor Abed Al-Fadij said, “We must not discount the possibility that Mossad threw the shark into the sea, in order to attack tourists who are having fun in Sharm al-Sheikh."

How about a coalition of Egyptian lawyers accusing Israel of being behind an terror attack in Alexandria that killed 22 members of the Christian Copt sect. That's what happened at midnight mass this past New Year's eve, at a rally in memory of the victims, organized by the Egyptian Bar Association.

And of course, Israel is blamed for the Christian exodus (read killings) from Arab countries, according to the Bishops attending a synod, who pointed fingers at Tel Aviv's discriminatory policies. Go figure!

Were you aware that Israel's germ warfare virus programme is blamed for the world honeybee decline, because of shoddy containment at Ness-Ziona Biological Institute?

Israel is blamed for Saudi misogyny

Israel is also blamed for Saudi misogyny; for Jerusalem's rising Arab population; zero hour’s hydrological poverty; of depriving Palestinians of their daily water and of an Iranian mosque bombing.World Zionism is blamed for Brazil’s and Argentina’s defeat in World Cup soccer. The Lancet, Britain's premier medical journal, in a study blames Palestinian wife-beating on Israel and a senior Sudanese official has laid the blame for problems in his country at the feet of the pro-Israel lobby.

Israeli radiation is blamed for the increased rates of physical birth defects and stillborn deliveries inthe southern Gaza Strip. Not to be outdone, from Egypt we hear that because of Israeli agricultural carcinogenic medicine, Israeli food products and fruits exported to Egypt are drowning in chemicals, which has caused 200,000 cases of kidney failure in Upper Egypt.

Israel is also blamed for the US Armenian genocide resolution. And an America survey resulted in respondents blaming Jews for the economic crisis.

To put it succinctly: As Jews, we are currently being walked all over by those who oppose our very existence. It is time for ordinary Jews to take a stand, to be proud and to make our individual comments perfectly clear against the diatribe emanating from our adversaries. For our children's sake, I say enough is enough!

Oh yes! One last comment. Egypt is constructing an underground steel wall along their border with Gaza. Probably, Israel will be blamed for this also.
