Boards are totally on trend and a fabulous way to serve your apples, honey and new fruits of the season. Marks & Spencer has a wonderful range of fresh and dried fruits and nuts, so the biggest problem I had was what to pick. I’ve listed the ingredients I went for, but feel free to swap in other products that you prefer. Have fun with it — you may want to add crackers or breadsticks to dip.

Try the apricot, apple, honey and ginger relish; and yoghurt honey tahini dip and apple cinnamon challah rolls with this beautiful board.

Method:

  • For the dip: tip the yoghurt into a bowl and add the tahina, honey and salt. Stir until combined. Pour into a serving bowl.

  • Pour the Acacia honey from the jar into a flat presentation bowl keeping the honeycomb intact as far as possible.

  • Place the dish in the centre of your board.

  • Tip the apricot relish into a smaller bowl. Space the dip and relish bowls out over the board if it is large enough or, if not, place next to the board.

  • Now fill in the gaps on the board with the other ingredients, making sure to place different colours next to one another.

  • When you halve or slice the apples, dip the cut faces in water with a little lemon juice squeezed in to stop discoloration.
