Hot honey chilli air fryer halloumi bites

Super easy and perfect for a party – or just for you

These little bites are the most moreish things ever to go in your mouth. Salty but sweet, with the most amazing honey glaze.Method:

  • In a bowl, combine the Parmesan, panko, paprika and black pepper. Mix well, and then, one at a time, dip the halloumi bites into the beaten egg, then the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Spray the air fryer base (crisper plate removed) with oil spray, then add the halloumi and spray with oil. Air-fry at 190°C for 8 minutes, until golden, flipping or shaking them halfway.
  • In the meantime, mix the hot honey ingredients together in a bowl, then coat the halloumi bites and air-fry for a further 2 minutes, until sticky.
  • Add an optional drizzle of honey and sprinkle of chilli flakes, then serve.

Ingredients

10g Parmesan, grated
40g panko breadcrumbs
1 tsp paprika
Good pinch of ground black pepper
200g lighter halloumi, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 egg, beaten
Non-stick cooking spray

Hot honey
20g light butter, melted
2 tsp honey, plus extra (optional) to serve
1 tsp hot sauce
Pinch of chilli flakes, plus extra (optional) to serve
