Israel’s cyclists produced a series of strong performances at the Junior Men’s Cross Country race at the 2015 Mountain Bike World Championships in Andorra.

Braving heavy rain and hail, some 89 riders tackled the tough, muddy and slippery course. Guy Lesham finished 9:40 minutes behind the winner.

More heavy rain overnight left the track muddy and slippery for the Junior Women XC, but even the high altitude at 6,500ft did not deter Israeli Naama Noyman who finished well to place 24th at 0:13:42.

Guy Sessler (60th) and Guy Nev (70th) were among the few riders who finished the Men’s under-23 XC event, the poor conditions depleting the field dramatically.
