Judaica worth £20,000 was stolen from a home in Edgware, north London, last week while the family were asleep upstairs. Items taken from the home of the Palmer family included menorahs, a Seder plate and silver cups.
Father-of-five Howard Palmer said that the items were “totally irreplaceable”. In addition to the Judaica, an iPod and computer were also stolen. Hackney police confirmed that entry was gained through a patio door. The door had been locked but was taken off its runner.
Mr Palmer said the burglary had been very distressing for him, his wife, and two of his five children who had been at home at the time.
He said: “We are finding it difficult to sleep. It has got to the point where it’s hard to leave the house.”
