Orange is the New Black, the gritty tragicomedy series set in a women's federal prison in Upstate New York, released its third season online last week - much to the relief of fans across the globe. This year Litchfield's inmates are getting spiritual, with Judaism and its nosh taking centre stage.

As the quality of food declines in the prison kitchen, prisoners begin to demand kosher food in their droves, prompting a rabbi to arrive and conduct an investigation into who really is of the faith. When "Black Cindy" (played by Adrienne C Moore, below), or Tova as she restyles herself, is asked if the seat next to hers is taken, she replies: "Yeah, we're saving it for Elijah."
