Immanuel College founders, governors, teachers, parents and pupils were among the 275 guests who celebrated the Bushey school’s 21st anniversary at a Park Lane Hotel dinner.
The event served as a tribute to long-serving Immanuel head Philip Skelker, who will retire at the end of the academic year.
It also marked the launch of a £2 million fundraising project for a dedicated beit midrash and a new classroom block, encompassing additional science facilities.
Paying tribute to Mr Skelker, governors’ co-chair Gary Laurence said that he had “proudly led this school for the last 12 years, encouraging pupils to perform to their maximum potential and inspiring them to live fulfilling lives with a thirst for Jewish knowledge and a love of Israel”.
