Hold on for Hartnett

It has been announced that the opening of Rain Man, starring Hollywood's Josh Hartnett and our own Adam Godley, has been moved back a week. Previews are still continuing but the critics won't get to see it until September 19. It's all due apparently to the production changing directors a week before rehearsals were due to begin. And it has nothing to do with the fact that this is Hartnett's first stage production since drama school. And certainly nothing to do with the chemistry between Godley and Hartnett, which producer Nica Burns says is still spot on. "It's terrific actually," Burns tells Notebook. "I have no problem about putting the performances in front of the critics, but after losing a week before rehearsal, we just need more fine tuning."
