Haroldeans boss Ivan Gee believes his side are primed to dominate the MJSL for years to come following their title triumph.

The Mereysiders thrashed Crumpsall 7-0 to secure the league crown after making it 16 victories from their 19 games.

Christian Cabral and Jamie Harris both scored twice, while Bobby Abrams, Ali Goldsmith and Josh Silverberg completed the rout.

And Gee, who returned to the club for a second spell in charge three years ago, says his latest crop are the best footballing side he’s ever worked with.

“Football wise, this team are above anything else I’ve had in the past,” he said.

“We used to have a few hackers and hard men, but now we get it down and pass it.

“I’ve got a great set of lads and they’ll all be here next season. I really do believe we can go on and keep winning the league and dominating.

“All the lads are staying on for next season and they’re a great bunch with real team spirit and that’s been really important.

“They all play together and socialise off the pitch. There’s a great spirit.”

Gee’s men have now scored 74 goals in their 19 games and will be hoping to add to that when they face Broughton in their final fixture on May 20th.

They will also finally get their hands on the coveted MJSL trophy following the game and Gee says the important of his side’s title triumph cannot be underestimated.

“Winning the league is great because it means all the lads will stay together,” he said.

“It has been a long time coming and it has been inevitable for a while, but it’s still great to do it.

“We’ll have a big bash at the end of the season and it’s what the boys deserve.”

In the only other league game of the day, the prolific Oli Grant hit four as Hyde Park crushed Republic of Mancunia 2nd 6-0.

Jacob Nevitt and Ryan Silvester were also on target as David Domb’s men eased home.
