Hamilton Court FX Olim Round-up June 3rd
Olim Cup Semi Final
Raanana 3
Aviv City 4
Aviv City reached the final of the Olim Cup following a dramatic last-gasp victory over Raanana.
Naor Lisha headed home an 89th minute winner as City came from behind to win a seven-goal thriller.
Raanana had led 2-0 thanks to Adam Jaffe’s first-half double, but City fought back to level at the break.
And despite Jaffe sealing his hat-trick after the interval, Raanana were unable to hold on with the visitors equalising for a third time before Lisha’s late winner.
Aviv City's co-manager Uri Schneider was pleased with his team's performance and added: “By defeating both league table leaders Raanana and Jerusalem we earned our rightful place in the Cup Final.”
Elsewhere, goals from Motti Colman and Lewis Kaye contributed to England A defeating England B 5-1.
That result that leaves England top of the table with Raanana and Jerusalem both having games in hand ahead of the season’s climax.
