A small Leeds primary school catering for more observant Orthodox families in the city has been upgraded to good by Ofsted.
Two years ago, Leeds Menorah, which has just 13 pupils, was told it “requires improvement” by the inspection service.
But in a return visit, Ofsted said the independent school’s leadership has taken “purposeful steps to improve” it
They “want the absolute best for all pupils”, providing an ambitious curriculum that “encompasses Kodesh studies as well as a broad range of other subjects”.
Describing it as “a small school with a big heart”, Ofsted said pupils were “enthusiastic learners”.
According to the school’s website, the school “is vital to continue attracting — and keeping — observant families and clergy to Leeds”.
