Schools sign up to global learning day in memory of Rabbi Sacks

Children around the world will mark his second yahrzeit with a special programme of study

articlemain

At least half a dozen Jewish schools from the UK will be joining others around the world in a special day of learning to mark the second yahrzeit of Rabbi Lord Sacks on Monday.

The inaugural Rabbi Sacks Global Day of Learning will introduce students to the ideas of the Emeritus Chief Rabbi, who died in November 2020 aged 72.

Its theme is “from optimism to hope” and resources for different age groups have been produced by the Rabbi Sacks Legacy.

They include a video, suggested study passages from the Torah and Talmud and extracts from Rabbi Sacks’s writings.
