Jewish Interactive, the London-based provider of digital Jewish studies resources, has enjoyed a happy run-up to the New Year with a record appeal.
Its week-long “Kids who love Ji love being Jewish” campaign netted close to $500,000 (£360,000), with contributions from the USA, Israel and South America as well as the UK.
Ji chief executive Chana Kanzen said, “This is the largest amount Ji has raised in any event or campaign to date and we are so proud of what we have achieved together.
“We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, words of gratitude and generosity of all our donors who have used Ji over the challenging years we have been through. We are thrilled to be able to continue to provide the very best interactive tools and resources to deliver a quality Jewish education”.
It is shortly to add to its repertoire with a new website focused on Israel education for 11 to 14 year-olds called Israel Bytes, in partnership with the JNF Boruchin Foundation and the Dianne and Guildford Glazer Foundation.
Over the past two years it has been working with teachers to create a new platform for Jewish schools and families called Jigzi, which is due to launch next year.
