Police say they have taken no further action after investigating concerns at the now-closed Little Goldies nursery at Golders Green Synagogue.

The nursery was suspended in January following an Ofsted inspection and shut by the United Synagogue the following month.

The Metropolitan Police said that officers from the North-West Public Protection Unit had been contacted in January by Barnet Council after concerns were raised “about the conduct of staff towards children”.

The Met have now confirmed that “following a number of inquiries, including with Ofsted and the local authority, no further action has been taken”.

Ofsted reported that failure to follow safeguarding procedures had put children at the nursery at risk of harm and that some hygiene practices were poor.
