Jewish children are continuing to do their schools proud by volunteering for charities despite the lockdown.

Kantor King Solomon High School pupils from Redbridge have helped Jewish Care to deliver meals and wheels.

The school has also helped WE C U 2020, an initiative set up by former pupil Lauren Ezekiel, which has collected more than £1 million of beauty products to deliver to NHS staff.

Up in Manchester, staff at Fairfield General Hospital had reason to be grateful to Talia Lewis, a year-seven pupil at King David High.

She offered to do some cooking for the hospital, spent four hours baking 49 shepherd’s pies and delivered then to the delighted recipients.
