Rabbi Danny Baigel, the head of Jewish life and learning at Immanuel College, is leaving for a new role at the London School of Jewish Studies.

He will managed the school’s secondary training programme as well as take on the new responsibility of looking to improve pathways for Jewish teachers.

Rabbi Baigel, who taught at Immanuel for 15 years, has a master’s degree from LSJS.

LSJS chief executive Joanne Greenaway said, “Danny brings a real vision for Jewish education, teacher training and career development for teachers.  I’m excited to work with him and I know he’ll be a huge asset to our growing team and make an important impact on the community.”

Rabbi Baigel said, "It is a privilege to have the opportunity to mentor our trainees on the first step of their teaching journey. Additionally, I look forward to partnering with our schools to raise the profile of our talented and committed Kodesh staff, and create a supportive community of practice, with opportunities for kodesh focused professional development."
