Faithfold will meet Lions A in the semi-finals of this season's JC League Cup next weekend after easing past Premier Division rivals Oakwood at Parmiters.
Captain fantastic Alex Levack opened the scoring direct from a corner before Sam Reeves smashed home the goal of the game - finding the top corner from 30 yards. Further strikes from Benjy Dymant and Alex Taylor sealed the win for the treble-chasing Superhoops.
Levack opened the scoring with a piece of great thinking, as the wind picked it up the ball flew into the top corner.
The second goal was in a similar vein as Reeves caught it nicely and watched it fly into the top corner.
Jubilant Faithfold boss Zuriel Solomon told JC Sport: "It was a good win on a very windy day, although we weren't at our best we worked really hard.
"We had to change things a bit when Daryl Phillips went off after 10 minutes, but we still managed to try and play our football.
"Oakwood worked hard and we always knew that but when we got the ball down we made it count. Now we're looking forward to next week's semi-final."
Oakwood joint-manager Ric Blank told JC Sport: "It's a case of being out but not down for us this week. With an absolutely brutal wind we knew losing the toss would be key in the first half.
"We had started the game really well, competing all over the park against an incredibly strong Faithfold side but they took advantage with two goals that the wind will get fantasy points for assists.
"They have quality players but we felt we more than held our own in that first half and but for the wind would have been level at half time.
"Zuriel says they got the ball down and played their football - I'm not so sure about that. I think Faithfold were better at clearing their lines and taking advantage of the conditions than we were. They have experience combined with real quality - that's what we need to strive for.
"The second half was a different story. We dropped our level and Faithfold were far the better side. It didn't help us going down to 10 men. I can't comment too much as we'll be appealing the red card, but needless to say we weren't happy.
"Playing with 10 men against such a good side was too big an ask and we ended the game with nine men as Adam Levine limped off with an ankle injury. We don't know how long he'll be out for.
"Faithfold were already worthy winners by then and if it wasn't for an outstanding display at full back (then centre half) from Dave Cohen it would have been more."
