The waiting is over. Due to the high standard of goals, I've opted to split this week's award into two categories - individual goal of the week and team goal of the week. And the winners are ...
DC INDIVIDUAL GOAL OF THE WEEK
Scott Shindler (Temple Fortune A) - the defender has been known to score the odd goal or two, mainly from the penlaty spot. But he isn't really renowned for dribbling past several opponents and rocketing home from a distance. Maybe that's more of Rob Benson's style, but not Fortune's commanding centre-back. Today Scott enthused over what could well be the Fortune A's Goal of the Season. He picked up the ball midway in his own half, beat one man, then dropped his shoulder to beat another. Now on the halfway line, he beat another midfielder, one more came in for a challenge and he nutmegged him! Now, 35-40 yards out, he unleashed a shot which ended up in the back of the net. Not a normal goal from a centre-back!
JC TEAM GOAL OF THE WEEK
Daniel Geey (Oakwood) - described by Alex Schock as "the best goal he's ever seen in Jewish football" - Oakwood broke from a Camden corner. The ball came out to Josh Rubin who sprayed a ball out wide to Matt Geey who whipped a far post cross onto the head of his brother Daniel. Having made the run from his own area he fired a bullet header into the opposite corner of the net
JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. Ben Ellis (NW Neasden A) – quality low 20-yard drive flew in off the post
2. Dan Castle (Chigwell) - a clever back-heel from Jon Raven found Castle, who wriggled through two players and unleashed a left foot strike that flew into the top corner
3. Daniel Geey (Oakwood) - described by Alex Schock as "the best goal he's ever seen in Jewish football" - Oakwood broke from a Camden corner. 4. Danny Kon (Los Blancos) - picked the ball up 25 yards out on the left, stepped inside a hit a high dipping ferocious drive straight into the top corner
5. Joe Cullum (Team JLGB) - struck from fully 30 yards with incredible accuracy and power
6. Dean Nyman (Redbridge A) - latched on to a sublime 40-yard pass from Adam Stolerman before lobbing the keeper
7. Harrison Midda (Woodford) - Excellent team goal. The ball was moved quickly as Midda starts the move in the middle of the park, sets it back to Alex Aviram, he plays through ball to Mitch Hahn who then plays a low cross to Midda, a classy guided finish into the corner of the net

9. Ben Murrell (Southgate Harmen A) - from about 20 yards he hit the ball sweetly into the top right corner against Montana A
10. Chaim Gothold (Hendon Utd SC B) - nutmegged the full-back on the touchline before cutting in and bending a screamer in to the top left corner to equalise
