Independent Jewish Day School girls rise to the challenge at football extravaganza

Competing in the Year 5 and 6 Girls football competition, the Hendon-based school beat Yavneh Blue 1-0 in the final in front of 150 spectators to claim their winning medals.

Sponsored by All Aboard Charity Shops, 35 teams from 17 schools, meaning a staggering 325 players took part.

Nathan Bloohn, School and Sports Coordinator at Maccabi GB, said: “The tournament was fantastic and a remarkable display of skill, sportsmanship, and passion, with a closely-fought final contested.”
