On your own at Pesach? You are welcome at one of the Seders Chabad Lubavitch UK is hosting at more than 40 UK venues.
Around half the Seders will be in London, with Notting Hill Chabad staging its first.
“Most locations are putting on something for the first and second night,” said Chabad’s Rabbi Bentzi Sudak.
“We believe Judaism should be meaningful and accessible. The mission of Pesach night is to welcome not only the four proverbial 'sons' of the Haggadah, who find themselves on the spectrum of Jewish engagement, but also to welcome the 'fifth child' who feels so removed from Jewish experience that they don't see themselves as a part of the story. In this spirit we encourage everyone to welcome another person to their Seder as a member of our global Jewish family."
He expected 1,000 people to attend the Chabad celebrations. Although donations from guests would be welcomed, no one would be turned away on financial grounds.
Anyone interested should contact their local Chabad. “We will be available up to the last possible moment on Friday,” Rabbi Sudak added.
