Fifty-nine London Marathon runners are currently making their way through the capital, dedicating their race to the 59 hostages still held captive in Gaza.

The hostages have been held in the Strip since October 7, when Hamas terrorists launched an unprecedented attack on southern communities in Israel, murdering some 1,200 people and taking around 250 captive. The hostages have now been held in the Strip for 569 days.

A spokesperson for the Hostages and Missing Families Forum UK said: “Fifty-nine incredible runners are running to raise awareness and remind the world of our 59 hostages who are still not home.

“Please come join us to show your support for the hostages and their families. Bring your voices, your signs, and your hearts.”
