Multi-award-winning actor and film-maker Andy Serkis will be in conversation with South Hampstead Synagogue’s Rabbi Shlomo Levin next week.
Serkis is best known for his roles as Gollum in the Lord of The Rings trilogy and The Hobbit and Lord Snoke in the Star Wars sequels.
He has also directed a number of films and is currently directing the animated feature Animal Farm to be followed by Brundibar, set in Theresienstadt. In 2020, Serkis, 59, received the BAFTA for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema.
Rabbi Levin is no stranger to putting big names under the spotlight, having already done eye-opening interviews with award-winning author Philippe Sands, Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis and acclaimed journalist Giles Coren.
