● St Andrews JSoc hosted its first Northern Region Weekend, welcoming students from universities across Scotland and north east England.
The weekend commenced with Friday night dinner, with both an Orthodox and a Progressive service available. After dinner students took to the beach for a game of frisbee.
A Shabbat morning service was led by Bill and Emily Shackman from Dundee's Jewish community. Mrs Shackman also led a discussion on small communities.
A tour of St Andrews took in the town's architecture and a visit to the university's museum. The weekend concluded with a bagel brunch.
● A groundbreaking Chabad on Campus Shabbaton attracted more than 200 students to Oxford.
Speakers included Molly Resnick, who discussed her career at American news channel NBC, and Nobel Prize winner Professor Robert Aumann, who urged students to focus on maintaining Jewish life on campus.
Students from 17 universities attended the event, which also featured punting on the Cherwell and a walking tour of medieval Jewish Oxford.
Cardiff University student Säoirse McEntee Velloza said the weekend was "unexpectedly sublime". Michael Karlinski, from Cambridge University, said it had been "absolutely amazing".
