Leeds Jewish Housing Association has been granted planning permission for a £6 million development at Queenshill Court and Queenshill Way.
The scheme involves the demolition of 37 dwellings and the building of a sheltered housing development comprising 46 two-bedroom and 16 one-bedroom flats.
There will also be a communal lounge and staff offices with gardens and car parking.
LJHA project director Craig Simons said the planning consent was “a massive milestone. Thanks are due to the support of both LJHA tenants and the Leeds Jewish community that LJHA was able to reach this point.”
The association’s regeneration chairman, Stephen Lewis, added: “In this market there is more demand than ever for homes and LJHA has an extensive waiting list. It is vital that the next development undertaken by LJHA will be homes for families.”
