JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS
- LUKE LEWIS (North London Galaxy) - "It’s a learning curve for us. All eyes are now on the BGT - silverware is the only focus for any ambitious club. Win the BGT and then we’ll rest"
- NIGEL KYTE (Temple Fortune) - "Like Simon Linden, I am very disappointed that he had to scrape a team together to fulfil our final league fixture of the season. I am extremely disappointed that so many players made themselves unavailable. Perhaps I anticipated a struggle for players, with the commercialised nonsense called 'Mother's Day' looming (it's just an excuse for card and gift companies to milk it), and decided to pay £56 for Faithfold's pitch rather than £180 for Silver Jubilee Park, which was available incidentally"
- AVI MARKIEWICZ (Faithfold Doc MM A) - "There is no doubting that Hendon were the better team, but I am so proud of how we played together as a team and how hard we worked for each other. It was a really enjoyable match and I am very proud of my boys."

HENDON UNITED SPORTS 1 FAITHFOLD DOC MM A 0
Rocky Spitzer was Hendon's match-winner against Faithfold, and the defending champions now require a maximum of three wins from their last four league games to retain the title after edging past Faithfold.
Hendon boss Jordan Sapler told JC Sport: "A huge thank you to Ari Last who managed whilst I was on a scouting trip in Barcelona. We got the win in what was a tough game that we controlled but struggled in the final third. All we can do is keep winning games and look forward to the cup final in a couple of weeks now.”
Faithfold player-manager Avi Markiewicz told JC Sport: "Yet again another Saturday night job, we drafted in several B-team players and a few who are back from Yeshiva. With the lads we had on, we produced an incredible display and really made a top Hendon team really sweat."
DC Prediction: Hendon 3 Faithfold 0

MACCABI LONDON LIONS 2 OAKWOOD A 3
An 88th minute penalty from Toby Levy sealed Oakwood's ninth league win of the season as they won a five-goal thriller over Lions at the Lane.
Levy's spot-kick added to earlier strikes from Josh Bharier and Kyle Bentwood.
Oaks joint-manager Dan Kristall told JC Sport: "I thought we should have been out of sight by half-time, but when you don't take your chances and only lead by a goal, you can pay for it and we then conceded a very sloppy second in the first 10 minutes of the second half when Josh Cuby was in the sin-bin. Overall, this was a good game - end to end where both teams had nothing to lose. In reality, it felt bit like an end of season game."
Charlie Cohen and Alex Taylor accounted for the Lions' goals. Joint-manager Max Kyte told JC Sport: "It was a game with both sides down to the barebones, yet still put their all in. It was a very balanced game, with both sides probably having equal opportunities. It looked like the points would be shared, however a penalty was given by the referee in the dying minutes that we felt probably shouldn’t have been. Not an unfair result and the game really could have gone either way and felt in the balance throughout.”
DC Prediction: Lions 1 Oakwood 2

JEWDINESE 4 OAKWOOD B 2
Scott Oldstein (2), Bradley Lander and Sim Cohen were the scorers as Jewdinese clinched their eighth league win of the season at the expense of Oakwood B.
Victorious boss Darren Lawrence told JC Sport: "Obviously I am delighted with the victory and, barring a 7-0 defeat to Galaxy, we have sealed third place. I am disappointed in the way in which we conceded two poor goals and that is something we will have to eradicate next season and also going into next Sunday’s semi-final. We seem to have found some form in front of goal recently so I’m hoping that continues as we are desperate to get to the final.”
DC Prediction: 'Nese 3 Oakwood 1

NORTH LONDON GALAXY 2 FAIRLOP FC 2
Fairlop finished as runners-up behind Redbridge JC A as they maintained their season-long unbeaten record with a 2-2 draw against North London Galaxy, with strikes from James Jaconelli and Adam Goldman.
Josh Shack and an own goal accounted for the Galaxy strikes in a contest where player-manager Luke Lewis believes his team deserved more. He told JC Sport: "It was a well-fought game in which I felt we dominated the game in terms of both chances and possession. I'm really proud of the performance from the boys and had we not gone down to 10 men for the last 10 minutes and had a lapse of concentration to let them back in at 2-1, I believe we’d have gone on to win."
DC Prediction: Galaxy 2 Fairlop 1

TEMPLE FORTUNE 1 FAITHFOLD DOC MM C 6
SAMMY GARSON was the hat-trick hero as Faithfold C exacted revenge on Fortune with an impressive performance against Simon Linden's men.
Jack Goldsmith (2), Zalmy Cohen and an own goal steered Faithfold's third league win.
Fortune cobbled together an XI of sorts, with Gab Saul grabbing a consolation against the league's bottom team.
Faithfold's Ben Kfir told JC Sport: "We enjoyed their biggest win of the season and it was a real pleasure seeing the guys battle hard to come back from behind after a fantastic free-kick put Temple Fortune ahead . The team is working hard on and off the pitch and we’re starting to see the results."
DC Prediction: Fortune 4 Faithfold 2

BARRY GOLDSTEIN TROPHY QUARTER-FINAL
MILL HILL DONS 4 HERTSWOOD VALE 2
A deadly double from top-scorer Zach Cohen guided the Dons into their second cup final of the season as they beat arch rivals Hertswood Vale at Goffs Academy.
Sam Stead and Joseph Reece added the gloss for Brandon Hamme's men.
Jubilant Dons boss Brandon Hamme told JC Sport: "Yet another really dominant performance from the boys. We did what we set out to do."
James Millet, with his 20th goal of the season, and Ben Kaye replied for Vale, and joint-manager Jacob Emanuel told JC Sport: "Well played to MH Dons. They were definitely better on the day, and took their chances well. Unfortunately for us, this game just came at the wrong time – our league season ended 4 weeks ago and a lack of game time in the past month was obvious. Without a number of key players we struggled to convert our creativity into clear-cut chances."
DC Prediction: Dons 3 Vale 2
