Jewish property tycoon Robert Ekaireb was jailed for life this week for the murder of his pregnant wife in 2006.
Mr Ekaireb, 39, was recommended to serve a minimum 22 year sentence for the murder of China-born Li Hau Cao, a former lapdancer. Her body has never been found.
The multi-millionaire, who owned more than 50 properties worth over £65 million and a jewellery business in Hatton Garden, was convicted last month.
The jury at the Old Bailey heard that Mr Ekaireb suspected his 27-year-old wife of adultery. Weeks before her disappearance he had hired a private detective to follow her.
Mr Ekaireb, from Hendon, north-west London, is of Iraqi-Jewish descent. His father Rex Ekaireb is the former chairman of the Sephardi Od Yosef Hai synagogue’s finance committee.
