JC GOAL OF THE WEEK
JAMES BELCHACK (NL Galaxy) - stunning 25-yard free-kick nestled into the top corner
JOE GOURGEY (Brook Farm Rovers) – a ball crossed in from the right wing by Yoss Brownson was headed out to the edge of the box to the waiting Gourgey who faked a shot on his left, cut back onto his right and bent it into the top right corner
JOE COHEN (Faithfold Doc MM White) - intricate passing by Avi Garson, Eli Davila and Akiva Solomon found Yoav Kestenbaum who slipped in Cohen to hit high into the roof of the net

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK
JOE BOTCHIN (Borussia Barnet) - incredible penalty save at a key moment in the game against Hampstead Ducks - if they scored - it’s 3-2 from 3-0 with 20 minutes left. Crucial save.
RUSSELL CORIN (Hendon Utd) - stunning save against Chigwell
NICK STERN (Temple Fortune) - excellent save from a powerful shot from outside the box - Stern tipped it wide, save of the season?

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK
JAMES HARPIN (NW London Bears) - "Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say your opponents were better than you. Today was one of those days"
JORDAN SAPLER (Hendon Utd) - "All credit to Chigwell who will take a lot of points off teams in their league if they perform like they did today"
GIDEON GALE (NL Raiders) - "Nine points out of nine, with 14 goals is a fabulous start to the season but I truly believe we’re still only in first gear"

YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE: (Further updates on Wednesday)
CYRIL ANEKSTEIN CUP ROUND ONE
CLUB DE CHIGWELL 0 HENDON UNITED SPORTS 3
Josh Bharier, Dovi Fehler and Yehuda Korman were among the scorers as holders Hendon United moved into the second round over beating Club De Chigwell 3-0.
Hendon boss Jordan Sapler told JC Sport: "It was a good through performance today that could’ve been quite a few more if we had our shooting boots on. Chigwell played well throughout and were solid and extremely well-organised in defence. However, our finishing in the final third wasn’t to our normal high standard and is something that we need to rectify moving forward. Russ pulled out a couple of great saves to keep his domestic clean sheets intact. A good performance to go into the new year with. All credit to Chigwell who will take a lot of points off teams in their league if they perform like they did today."
DC Prediction: CDC 1 Hendon 4

FAITHFOLD DOC MM WHITE 10 (TEN) NORTH WEST LONDON BEARS 0
Premier Division class told as Faithfold White registered a perfect ten against new boys North West London Bears. AVI MARKIEWICZ (5) and super-sub JOE COHEN fired hat-tricks in a convincing win, with David Leiwy and Akiva Solomon adding the gloss.
Faithfold joint-manager Rob Shooman told JC Sport: "The Bears are a young team and it’s never easy to go away to an experienced team, but they should stick with it. I am very pleased with my lads today because it’s very easy to get complacent even in the middle of the match but we continued to push throughout. The goal-scorers may get the plaudits but this was a real team win."
Bears joint-player-manager James Harpin told JC Sport: "Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say your opponents were better than you. Today was one of those days. Sam and I decided to give those that have not appeared much this season a game today, and gave the opportunity for the other new boys to impress. We will not have this quality of opponents every week and need to keep our heads high. We are still unbeaten in the league and we move on to the Chigwell game next week."
DC Prediction: Faithfold 4 Bears 0

FC TEAM 1 CAMDEN PARK 1 (AET - Camden won 4-2 on penalties)
Camden Park avoided a cup-set by the skin of their teeth after being taken to penalties by second division FC Team in Edgware.
Connor Perl gave FC Team the lead, but Camden drew level via Dan Orgel to force penalties, winning the shoot-out 4-2 thanks to two fine saves from stand-in goalkeeper Ashley Couque, their regular centre-back.
Relieved Camden boss Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "I'm extremely pleased that we came away with the win and progress in the cup with what could have been a banana skin tie for us. FC Team are a good side and made life difficult for us, particularly in the first half. I am proud of my boys who had to dig deep with men coming off injured and sin binned. Plaudits go to Ash Couque, who stepped up to play in goal."
"It was a pretty awful game all round today and we really missed a big opportunity to knock out a Premiership team," FC Team's Jonny Pearl told JC Sport. "We totally dominated the first half but then we lost our momentum and we let Camden get back in the game. Credit to both sets of players who put in dogged displays and showed real commitment right until the 120 minutes. It's a shame but upwards and onward and the league remains our top priority. I also just want to take the opportunity to wish everyone a Happy and Sweet new year from all at FC Team!"
DC Prediction: Team 2 Camden 1

NORTH LONDON GALAXY 2 MILL HILL DONS 0
Goals from Dylan Kaye and James Belchack helped North London Galaxy beat Mill Hill Dons for the second consecutive week to book their place in the next round.
Galaxy gaffer Luke Lewis told JC Sport: "Our confidence is sky high at the moment and we all can’t wait to play every week - our squad is in excellent shape and quality is excellent right now. The belief in the camp is high."
Dons boss Brandon Hamme told JC Sport: "It was another frustrating morning but one in which the boys can truly keep their heads held high. I think it was our best defensive performance of the season so far, we have been guilty on several occasions this season of gift wrapping goals for the opposition, today that was not the case.
"The way we were set up meant that we were under pressure throughout the game and we handled it superbly and it took a lot to eventually break us down. We got beaten by a very solid team who played very well. We were not helped by four players going off injured one who got injured before the game even started. We are hoping that they will not be long-term injuries, we have a big injury list as it is.
"There are definite positives we can take from the game. Our attention turns back onto the league and we will be looking to now get a string of results going to try and work our way up the table."
DC Prediction: Galaxy 3 Dons 1

BROOK FARM ROVERS 4 FAITHFOLD DOC MM GREEN 1
Joseph Gourgey (2), Yossi Brownson and Ben Levene eased Brook Farm Rovers into the next round at the expense of second division Faithfold White with a 4-1 triumph.
On a wet and cold day, the first half was scrappy. Both teams struggled to keep the ball and test out either keeper. BFR got the breakthrough towards the end of the half when Gourgey curled in from the edge of the box. BFR came out much quicker and sharper in the second half and quickly added a second, as Brownson was played through on goal, rounded the keeper and slotted into an empty net. The third goal came after a lovely sweeping team move, when a Gourgey cross was tucked away by Ben Levene. A mistake at the back by BFR allowed Faithfold to reduce the deficit before Gourgey added a fourth, passing it into the corner after a Faithfold error at the back.
BFR joint-manager Dan Cohen told JC Sport: "In the end, it was a comfortable victory for Rovers and we move into the second round of the cup full of confidence and looking forward to a return to league action next week. Good luck to Faithfold for the rest of the season."
Tony Plaskow scored Faithfold's consolation, and player-manager Ben Kfir told JC Sport: "I was disappointed with the score, which I felt flattered Brook Farm. We hope to play them again in another cup competition later this season."
DC Prediction: Rovers 4 Faithfold 1

TEMPLE FORTUNE 7 BAYERN MINCHA 0
Benji Gourgey and Simon Cohen fired doubles for the second week running as Temple Fortune destoyed first division Bayern Mincha at Furzehill Leisure Centre.
Jacob Kalms, Sammy Kalms and Danny Sherman joined the party as Fortune made it 22 goals in their last two games.
Fortune boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "I was pleased with the performance; we have really kicked on in the last two weeks. We played some really good stuff and could have scored more. Now we're looking forward to the last 16 draw."
DC Prediction: Fortune 2 Bayern 1

PARIS SAINT-JEWMAIN 12 WEST HAMDILLAH 0
ZAC SUMMERFIELD hit four as Paris Saint-Jewmain inflicted West Hamdillah's second double-digit defeat of the season.
There were also goals for Jack Ottman (2) and David May (2) plus one apiece from Louis Relevy, Archie Leigh, Henry Lewis and Joel Citron as PSJ crushed their fellow new boys to progress.
PSJ chief Mickey Elia told JC Sport: "We're through to the next round and we couldn't be happier about it. We're extremely excited to see who we draw in the second round of the cup! This weekend saw debuts for Jake Sandford and Joe David. Zac Summerfield scored a hat-trick within 10 minutes after starting as a sub and put in an excellent performance and winning man of the match. Now we're looking forward to keeping our run going against Scrabble this weekend at JCoSS."
DC Prediction: PSJ 4 Hamdillah 0

NORTH LONDON RAIDERS 4 MACCABI LONDON FC RED 1
North London Raiders made it three league wins out of three as they put Maccabi Red to the sword, with goals from Aron Gale, Liron Mannie, Josh Bloom and Michael Field.
NLR joint-manager Gideon Gale told JC Sport: "It was another impressive performance against a good side. Even with a depleted squad, we dominated the possession and chances. Huge credit to their keeper without whom it could have been a rugby score. Nine points out of nine, with 14 goals is a fabulous start to the season but I truly believe we’re still only in first gear. Happy new year to all!"
DC Prediction: Raiders 2 Maccabi 1

REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE 0 SPEC FC 5
JAMIE SMAJE was the hat-trick hero as SPEC FC recorded their second league win as they ran out 5-0 winners at Fairlop.
Ricky Lawrence and Josh Green added the gloss as SPEC finished the weekend in third place.
SPEC player-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "An excellent performance today. 5-0 was probably a bit harsh on Redbridge who had some chances but we took ours and deserved the three points.”
RJC boss Daniel Jacobs told JC Sport: "It was a frustrating morning at Fairlop, where we were undone on the break too many times. Three or four world-class saves from the SPEC keeper, plus a penalty save - it could easily have been a different scoreline. I don't think it reflected the true story of the game after being camped inside their half for the whole of the second half. Credit to SPEC, took their chances when they came and we're clinical, and we've got to do better in front of goal. But it will come, plenty of games left."
DC Prediction: RJC 0 SPEC 1

DIVISION TWO
BORUSSIA BARNET 3 HAMPSTEAD DUCKS 1
Oliver Hart, Danny Shina and Sam Lipton were the scorers as Borussia Barnet won the battle of the new boys, recording their second win of the season.
Barnet goalkeeper Joe Botchin sealed the win with a penalty save, with Jono Gaon pulling one back for the Ducks.
Ducks chairman, Daniel Sonn told JC Sport: "It was a strong performance from a continually improving Ducks side, which deserved at least something out of a hotly-contested game against the favourites for the title. If a few decisions had gone our way and some great opportunities were taken, the result could have been very different."
