Trailing 5-0 from a disastrous first leg in Croatia, strikes from John Ogu and an own goal gave the Israeli champions some early hope but two Dinamo goals in the first nine minutes of the second half ended their hopes of a dramatic comeback.
Hapoel Beer Sheva manager Bakhar remarked: “The first half was one of our best European performances with a lot of powerful play, aggression and we put the opposition under pressure. We lost focus in the second half and were punished by a quality team.”
