She won gold in the balls and clubs events and silver in the ribbons and individual all-round programme.
Ashram, 20, who won two silver medals and a bronze at the World Championships in Bulgaria last September, is now one of Israel’s best prospects for a medal at the Olympics in Tokyo next summer.
“I’m still not thinking about an Olympic medal,” said Ashram (pictured left), “it’s too far away. First of all there is the World Championships later this year. But I feel amazing right now.
"I worked hard for the European Championships and it paid off with medals. I really showed what I can do.”
