JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: CONTENDERS
- JORDAN ASPIS (ML Lions) - made a darting run with the ball from the halfway line, played a simple pass inside to Adam Arnold. Aspis looked for the one-two but didn’t receive it as Arnold switched the ball to the right back Adam Hassanali. Aspis had stayed up high, Hassanali whipped in a deep 45-yard cross to Aspis who coolly slotted a volley into the bottom corner from the left-hand side of the box. Stunning football and a great finish
- GAV NOE (Hendon Utd) - the move started from the back, with Josh Harris playing a lovely weighted through ball for Noe to run into the ball and chip the keeper with his weaker foot from 20 yards
-----------------------------
JC SAVE OF THE WEEK: CONTENDERS
- JAMES HILLER (Oakwood A) - top-class save in extra-time, dived full-length to tip Alex Moss' thunderbolt, which was heading for top corner, on to the post
- JAKE DOFFMAN (HMH) - gave his team the perfect start to the penalty shoot-out against Oakwood, diving low to his left to save Josh Cuby's penalty

- RICHARD BRONZITE (Redbridge JC B ) - QUOTE 1 - "Congrats on baby boy No. 3 to Daniel Lee and mazels to Andy Levy, who also pulled out this morning, as Mrs has given birth to a baby girl
- RICHARD BRONZITE (Redbridge JC B ) - QUOTE 2 - "All credit to fc team who are a good bunch of lads and a credit to the league"
- BRANDON HAMME (Mill Hill Dons) ) - QUOTE 1 - "The desire, the heart and the passion from the boys was just massive and it drove us through the game. I couldn’t have asked for more, all the credit goes to the boys for putting on a great display"
- BRANDON HAMME (Mill Hill Dons) ) - QUOTE 2 - "We were the lowest ranked team left in the competition in the last 16 round and we are still in come the semi-final stage, the boys can feel really proud about what they achieved. There is nothing stopping us going one stage further"
- JACOB EMANUEL (Hertswood Vale) - "It’s difficult to sum up my feelings. It’s been a brilliant season for everyone involved in the club - to be able to clinch promotion is massive, and the least the boys deserve for the season they’ve had"

YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE:
PETER MORRISON TROPHY QUARTER-FINALS
HMH 2 OAKWOOD A 2 (AET - HMH won 5-4 on penalties)
HMH recovered from 0-2 down to beat Oakwood on penalties after a nail-biting encounter at the Hive.
Josh Bharier (2) had given Oakwood a two-goal lead before HMH, who hit the bar twice, pulled one back when Ethan Krell's free-kick was nodded home by George Goldberg. Oakwood then had a golden opportunity to restore their two-goal advantage, but Josh Cuby's penalty hit the crossbar. HMH completed their recovery with an equaliser late in normal time, with Krell's cross allowing top-scorer Oscar Wagner to poke home. With no further goals in extra-time, it went to penalties and HMH goalkeeper Jake Doffman saved Oakwood's first kick. HMH converted all their spot-kicks via Ethan Krell, Adam Abadi, Alex Moss, Sammy Kingston, and it was left to Clark Norton to hold his nerve and send them into the last four.
HMH boss Avi Goldberg told JC Sport: “What a rollercoaster. From 2-0 down then back to 2-2 finally in 93rd minute. Credit to both teams for a fantastic game and to the HMH lads who kept their cool to slot home the penalties after Jake Doffman gave us the advantage."
Oaks joint-manager Dan Kristall told JC Sport: "As a spectacle, the game had everything. Football was definitely the winner ... two of the best teams in Jewish football fighting it out and I wish HMH all the best for the remainder of the competition. They must be favourites now."
DC Prediction: HMH 1 Oakwood 1 (HMH to win on penalties)

MACCABI LONDON LIONS 2 LOS CAMDEN A 1 AET
Jordan Aspis sent Lions into the last four of the Jewish FA Cup after scoring an extra-time winner as the holders came from a goal down to progress after a thriller at Rowley Lane.
Lions started with great intensity in the first 20 minutes but failed to take their chances, and then fell behind when Camden talisman Gav Krieger opened the scoring. Lions responded superbly, despite going down to 10 men and dug deep to rescue the tie. Lions levelled after being awarded a penalty for a foul on Aspis, which was converted by Benji Weinberger before Adam Hassanali and Aspis combined in for the winner in extra-time.
Lions joint-manager Sam Marchant told JC Sport: "We knew what to expect today from Los Camden A, who since the winter break have been winning games on the bounce. But today we showed an incredible hunger and determination to win the game."
Los Camden chief Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "I'm devastated for the lads in a game that went to extra-time when we were missing eight players due to being cup-tied or injured. the boys battled through a tough game and if we would have been able to convert an open goal in the first half I don’t think they would have come back from 2-0 in normal time. That shows you the fine margins in the top division this season."
DC Prediction: Lions 2 Camden 1

MILL HILL DONS 0 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 0 (AET - Dons won 5-4 on penalties)
Second division Mill Hill Dons reached the semi-finals of the Peter Morrison Trophy for the first time after knocking out Division One leaders Redbridge A on penalties.
Defences dominated in normal time and extra-time, and it was the competition outsiders who held their nerve in the shoot-out to progress, with Sam Stead, Adam Isaacs, Zach Cohen, Nick Phillips and Ryan Kramer all converting, and goalkeeper Sam Singer making the crucial save.
Delighted Dons boss Brandon Hammé told JC Sport: "What an incredible result, just sensational. We yet again proved today that we can go up against anyone on our day."
RJC boss Sam Rank described the result as "very disappointing". He told JC Sport: "The boys defended fine, and we had the better chances and should've won the game in 90 minutes. However, the most disappointing point was the lack of composure from the midfield and attack. Well done to MH Dons, and there keeper Sam Singer, who played very well during the game and penalty shootout. We wish them good luck in the remainder of the competition."
DC Prediction: Dons 1 RJC 3

FC Team dented Redbridge B's title hopes after hitting the east Londoners for six in Borehamwood, thanks to goals from Richard Salmon (2), Mitch Young, Eitan Ben-Zion, David Cohen and super-sub Eddie Sternberg.
The win takes Mitch Young's men to within a point of RJC, who have three games in hand. Young told JC Sport: "“a positive performance and a superb second half. We would like to wish Richie Caplin well after what looked like a bad injury. The referee (Barry David) was brilliant and great credit to him. It was a good game against two fairly evenly-matched teams and on the day we had a bit of luck and an extra bit of quality to see us through.”
RJC's goals came through Lee Cutler (2) and Steve Summers. Boss Richard Bronzite told JC Sport: "I can’t moan about the way we played as it was a huge improvement to last week. It was just one of those games that we could do nothing about. We tried and I’m grateful to the boys who turned up. All credit to FC Team who are a good bunch of lads and a credit to the league!"
