CYRIL ANEKSTEIN CUP ROUND TWO
BROOK FARM ROVERS 1 HENDON UNITED SPORTS 7
Hendon were made to scrap during the first half but they settled after a header from Ari Nevies broke BFR's resistance. And when Jordan Mizrahi scored from a cross-shot it gave them some breathing space.
Rovers hauled themselves back in the game via a penalty from the in-form Dan Cohen, after defender Simon Peterman was adjudged to have handled when attempting a goal-line clearance in a rare opening for the home side.
Jonny Kay restored Hendon's two-goal advantage, and they never looked back. Further strikes from Zac Garbacz, Zack Lewis, Dovi Fehler and Kiki Levin sealed a 7-1 triumph.
Hendon boss Jordan Sapler told JC Sport: "This was another comprehensive win - it was a thoroughly professional performance from the boys.
"We're lucky that the game enabled Kiki Levin and Chaim Korman to continue their returns from injury.
"Good luck to Brook Farm for the remainder of their season."
